She was 13 and competing at her first national championships in Novice. She was naiive and gutsy throwing a triple loop in her solo against her coaches wishes. She finished 13th but she had big dreams and plans for the future - though she had never been on a airplane. 2019: The girl in the second picture had been through it all. Her 10th national championships gave her a 2nd national title. In the years between she climbed the ranks and that gutsyness helped her become the first Canadian lady to land a triple lutz triple toe and rotate a triple axel in competition. She went on lots of airplanes travelling to 11 different countries representing Canada. She didn't reach all her goals and she had many trying moments but she learned SO much. She was able to do these things because of the support from her family, friends and team. Many coaches, skating clubs, choreographers, trainers, and physio/chiro helped her become the skater and person she is today.
