I send my deepest sympathy to all those caught in this awful ecological disaster. 480 million animals are estimated to have died , 14.5 million acres burnt with 250 million tons of CO2 released into the atmosphere ! We need to finally see and take in the blindingly obvious; that climate change is happening and we must come together as one people to fight it . I have children and grand children and I want for them what every parent does , to be able look with excitement to their future ! What is it going to take for governments across this planet to act decisively for the sake of our planet and all our futures? We must put aside once and for all our differences, wether they are historical, religious, ethnic, national, cultural, tribal, class, wealth, physical or sexual. These are all imaginary differences, invented by man and which only serve to create hate and division and distract us from the real threat to all of us. It is with the most extreme urgency we need to unite and combine our vast knowledge and use it to intelligently find solutions to save this planet and the humanity on it. The unfolding climatic disaster will not discriminate or care where we are from, what ever faith we choose to believe, and has no regard of our wealth or our fame. We need to act as one people. We have been so distracted by fighting each other over imaginary differences that we have absolutely failed to see the real threat to all of us. As we squabble over our own made up reasons, the world is burning , flooding, suffocating and breaking. If we do not act now then it will be too late. 2020 must be the year we as a people realised what is the truth, what actually matters and what we have to do to survive and allow humanity with all its rich potential to evolve for the better of ALL life on this incredible planet !」1月5日 3時00分
