During my own career I've met and worked with some great people and this was always for me the best part of being a procyclist. I turned pro in 2011 with Skil-Shimano and I was a nobody. But what we achieved there together as team in short time and great team spirit is for me the most beautiful memory of my career. And one key to success for this team was our personal relationship between each other. I'm so grateful that I had these guys like Johannes to kick my ass sometimes but also to lead and support me during our main goals in the season. Without him and the others I would still be a nobody. When you win, a big light shines on you but not on the whole team that is behind you. I have the utmost respect for all the hard workers in the background that keep going out there, leaving their egos at home and focus on doing their work and often only with a clap on the shoulder as reward. Johannes was one of these guys who did exactly that. I've won with him a lot of races and at places like the Champs Elysees but we always had a good time too and he is the most loyal guy I know in the sport - I'm happy to call you a friend and I wish you all the best for the future.
