Video from Elder Statesman will be out tomorrow evening ⭐️ Ever since I was a 14 and saw my first climbing movie I’ve been dreaming about climbing 9a. 1.5 years ago I decided to made this my big goal. Step by step I’ve been working on improving my climbing and technique to break into this new level of climbing. In the past 2-3 months I’ve felt that climbing 9a could be possible. I was so psyched when I found Elder Statesman and tried the moves in it. It’s like it was made for me 🤣 tiny crimps and long powerful moves!

Elder statesman was put up by @bock.markus and is the straight and direct line up this wall. From the moment you leave the ground it’s hard climbing and no room for mistakes or take a rest. The 8c+ that I did (The Last Rites) comes in from the left and shares the route from the 3rd bolt. It was a chosen strategy to start with the 8c+, with this method I would have good knowledge of the route and have good confidence for the 9a when/if I send this route. After I did Last Rites it didn’t take me long to work the moves in Elder Statesman and I was able to clip the chains of this one Thursday 17 October ⛓✨ Video is out tomorrow on my YouTube @sammydahlman 👏🏼 @underarmournordics @nocco @lasportivagram @barebells
