Photo by @stephen_matera | Steller sea lions rest on South Marble Island in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, Alaska. At the end of the Little Ice Age in the mid-1700s, Glacier Bay was completely covered by a large tidewater glacier. By the time John Muir explored Glacier Bay in 1879, the glacier had receded 40 miles. Follow me @stephen_matera for more images from Alaska and around the world. #SEAlaska #wilderness #nationalpark
