#TBT After not playing for almost a year and being asked to put something together in a week to play for an episode of @nbcchicagomed , whats every violinists go to?? Why, #Bach double of course ! • Does anyone remember what scene this is from in #chicagoMed ? Still one of my favorite episodes. • You can hear the perfectionist in me not being happy with my playing at the end. Sure it’s not perfect (especially the last 3 notes at the end 🥴) , but it’s a good reminder to not be so hard on yourself! Especially if you’re doing your best ! • If there are ways you think you’re being extra hard on yourself today, turn that criticism into something positive. Speak to yourself as you would your best friend today and see how that feels instead ! • I can’t tell you how many things my “perfectionism” has stopped me from doing out of fear of not being good enough. Get out there and be brave! Life’s too short not to be!
