Reflecting on what he watched on television the morning of the World Trade Center attack, Thornton Dial’s semi-abstract drawing “9/11: Interrupting the Morning News” is composed of a pile of tangled lines—some whipping about like flames, others hard and angular, suggesting a fragmented structure—with faint faces of lives lost peering through the thicket of lines.
Remembering all that was lost 18 years ago today on #September11.
