So now the WHO and Facebook are partnering up to stop the spread of lies about vaccines, which the WHO calls “a major threat to global health that could reverse decades of progress made in tackling preventable diseases.”
Facebook and Instagram will now direct users searching for vaccine data to WHO’s research in an effort to steer people to accurate information. 💉
The partnership comes as public health experts blame anti-vaccination content online for playing a major role in scaring parents from getting their kids vaccinated, resulting in outbreaks of measles and other illnesses.
