When Ray and Charles Eames and George Nelson couldn’t find the right textiles to upholster their furniture for Herman Miller, they turned to their friend and colleague Alexander Girard, who was already known for his joyful, geometric designs. Girard’s work has stood the test of time. @maharamstudio still makes many of his textiles today.
