We’ve all been raised to believe lying is bad.
But what if it isn’t?
According to author Simon Sinek, sometimes you have to lie to get what you want.
He says when someone is held accountable for what could result in something negative (aka, a fake scenario you’ve told), they will often rise to the occasion to ensure it doesn’t happen.
For example, if you don’t want meat in your food, tell the waiter that you’re deathly allergic — he’ll probably go the extra mile to ensure there’s no chicken in your quesadilla.
