Rescue update!!! Did you know that The JABCECC support the rescue of New Guinea Singing Dog? We have been assisting in the transport and placement of a Singing dog named Finn. He was currently being fostered by our colleagues at Keepers of the Bond and needed to get from Ohio to out west to meet his new forever mama, Ann. This was one of those from a tragedy comes light. Ann, a long time singer owner and supporter of many many rescues recently lost her singer named Finn. Well, there was another Finn that was living with a lady who passed away.... so Finn2 or F2 (as I call him) was destined to be with Ann out west.... but we had to get him to her... middle of summer, can’t fly him, a few medical emergencies delayed the transport.... and then finally... late last night F2 was safely in his new forever home- making himself comfy in bed with his new family!!!

As everyone hears me say over and over again- it takes a village.... and we need to support each other in conservation work. We had a $500 donation specified for singer rescue in our primitive dog rescue fund.... Keepers of the Bond, Deneen Ansley and @msandif dedicated their time to transport him across the country!! And the new owner Ann provided financial support as well.... together we were able to have a successful rescue.... TOGETHER we can accomplish so much!!!! TOGETHER we are stronger!!! .
Singer rescue is something that Amy, the Co-founder, is very passionate about. Finding good homes for singers and finding singers that need good homes is a huge aspect of her work at the center. Today was a win for the Singer community, for non-profits working together, for humans supporting each other, for helping canids!!!! Because we owe them more!!
