The first image was the day before I stepped on stage at my last bikini competition show. Over trained, starved, tired. I actually won overall at that show! 🏆 But definitely depleted and not really healthy mentally or really physically… - Second image was a fun shoot I lightly prepped for. I didn’t do any extra cardio, just did my normal training and cleaned up the diet just a little but but nothing drastic or extreme! My focus in-between these shoots was just to gain muscle and focus on my performance NOT AESTHETICS 🏋🏻‍♀️ I ate well, trained hard, had fun with my training, never “dieted” or under ate, and no short cuts. Just focused on the weights and ate to fuel. And then like a week or two before this shoot I focused a bit more on my nutrition. - But most importantly, it was so much more enjoyable and HEALTHIER. It’s truly amazing how if you are consistent and put in the time & effort (and correct training/nutrition) it WILL pay off. It’s a slow process and doesn’t come overnight but I’ve been able to learn about myself and my character during that time and become a stronger person physically and mentally. - Learning to honor and treat my body with respect while still reaching my goals has been the biggest thing for me. The past few years have given me more mental fortitude than ever. I love and appreciate my body more because the work put in was done with the happiest and healthiest mindset. Which is so rare in this social media world.
