On August 1st, the last day of the festival, the O-mikoshi (large portable shrine) with Sumiyoshi Okami (great gods of Sumiyoshi) onboard will lead a procession to Sakai city’s Shukuin Tongu Shrine, which serves as the Otabisho, or place where the sacred palanquin is lodged for the festival. Weighing approximately 2 tons, this O-mikoshi presents a stunning sight as it crosses the Sorihashi crescent bridge and parades boldly down the center of the Yamatogawa River – a must-see event for all.

最終日の8月1日には、住吉大神をのせた大神輿が、御旅所である堺の宿院頓宮まで行列を仕立てて巡行しました。重さ700貫（約2トン）ある大神輿が反橋を渡る姿や大和川の川中を勇壮に練り歩く姿は必見です。
