Photo by @Cristina Mittermeier | The Mandrare River and surrounding regions of Southern Madagascar have been devastated by years of extended drought seasons. Madagascar is a biodiversity hotspot, with over 90% of its wildlife found nowhere else on Earth. The island's diverse ecosystems and its unique wildlife are threatened by the rapidly growing human population and other environmental threats. For me, this is more evidence that the choices we make every day impact our global community and that we are all connected through the world's ocean and waterways. Follow me, @Cristina Mittermeier, for more images that document the relationships between people and water. #madagascar #mandrareriver #waterconnectsusall

Beautiful shame what we r causing to this planet by selfishly not thinking of the bigger picture it takes the whole world to get on board America Russia China India we all must do our bit so Putin trump kim Jung un we r saying stop putting profit ahead of sustainability our grandchildren want a planet that isn't polluted they want biodiversity not a legacy from those who went before of death and destruction

And if we don’t stop plastics manufacturing deforestation mass production factories air travel tell them get use too it and eventually they will die of thirst follow me just started page and if we don’t start making extreme change now will all meet this fate eventually either no water or too polluted that won’t be drinkable

Over population is a world problem. Animals lose their homes. Really hard to find small towns. Water problems and shortages just like food. Morals down the drain. So much hate and crime world wide. I dont think man will be able to fix it ever since man is behind the destroying

People should learn about Madagascar and why things are in such a state. Occupied by French then revolution and then that was overthrown. Research this !
