Natalia Goncharova (1881–1962) was the first woman artist of the Russian avant-garde, and her artistic output was immense, innovative and at times controversial. She paraded the streets of Moscow displaying futurist body art, designed for fashion houses in Moscow and Paris and created monumental religious paintings. Her first UK retrospective at Tate Modern is bold, experimental and wide-ranging.

sellylou_sarah I miss the Tate now that I live in France...would often travel solo to see favorite works of my choice(climbing the Louise Bourgeois towers a great memory)and this exhibition would fascinate me.I am near the city of Nantes,which is great on the Arts,so am near another great river,the Loire,But the memory of looking down at the beloved Thames is always fresh in my mind.My young grandson was recently building lego chez vous and told my daughter that it was his best day!🧡
