#TBT 1995 and yes I was there, took this picture and wrote this front page story for the Providence American Newspaper back when I was a reporter. I was so proud seeing my name in the byline. What a monumental event in history #TheMillionManMarch ✊🏾

sanosbo I live in the DC area! I remember the subway(THE METRO) and shopping mall parking lots being full in Northern Virginia, Maryland and in DC! Hundreds of thousands of buses were in the DMV...(the acronym for the DC, Maryland and Virginia). Millions of men so many DC’s National Park Service tried to lie about crowd size. I was working for KYS and just got off the Air that morning from doing an overnight shift.. and it was so cold.. but what an event the 1st one... #DOPE what a great memory.. the only sad thing is.. as black men we never took advantage of that opportunity to really mobilize and grow that into a movement of change.. one day ✊🏾

mommieinchief @sanosbo I was there at the inauguration with, it was an experience I will never forget. The metro was shoulder to shoulder packed but it was so peaceful, the energy was palpable and positive, almost calming. So blessed I had the experience and was able to share with my daughters. I’m certain there will never be anything like it in my lifetime.
