xavier_the_pokemon_trainer Oshawott because my friend had pokemon black when we were kids and he had an emboar because he was playing for longer than me so i choose oshawott so i could have an advantage over him when we battled he then peoceded to trick me saying that a pokemon in an egg he had was better than my samurott so being the dumb kid i was i traded him it and it turned out to be a drilbur not that i hate drilbur or excadrill but i do miss my original starter pokemon

acetrainer_wallace 17 years ago I started with Yellow. From then on, I couldn't stop exploring every new game and Pokémon turned into a lifestyle for me. My expanded living dex grows with every generation a bit more. So if I weren't able to transfer all of my beloved monsters to future games, I would have to end my journey as a trainer and it would be heartbreaking. #bringbacknationaldex #pokemondeservesbetter

skyphoenix907 My cousin gave me Pokemon FireRed years and years back and I still have the cartridge. I can never thank him enough because before that Pokemon was just another one of those strange Japanese shows I occasionally watched. I remember the anime at that point was on black and white so I was so confused seeing these weird "new pokemon" like Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.

that_one_guy_at_the_back I played the normal games at pokemon Y but I watched the anime at DP which I should have started playing at. I also started collecting the cards then aswell.

sweet.caroline.03 I do remember- it was about 2 months ago. 😂 I was never really into pokemon in my childhood but now I love it and I'm so happy that it's part of my life!

3rd_tracksuit_god Technically Pokémon mystery dungeon explorers of darkness but my first main game was when I deleted my brother’s Pokémon white save file to make mine.
