#realtalk I rarely post selfies, so when I do, why not have it be when I just had the biggest zits of my life extracted?! 😭😂 you girls know I always do my best to keep it real. While I love posed photos, I don’t want anyone to think for a second they’re a representation of my, or anyone’s, life. Are there more important things going on in the world than a few zits? Absolutely. But while we’re fighting those big battles, we can fight mini ones too. 😊 So here’s your reminder to stop comparing yourself to the perfectly edited, airbrushed, and smoothed photos you see all over insta. 😘😘😘 P.S. I’m working on this myself I’m not perfect but aside from hormones, acne is just our body trying to talk to us and tell us that something ain’t right within! So I agree, only do Curlogy or other harsh treatments like that unless you have a true infection (bacterial acne= cysts), but know acne happens to the best of us 💛

There is a type of very strong topical medicine that is called “Tactupump” and it contains benzoyl peroxide and adapalene, my dermatologist says to mix it with a bit of simple moisturizer and that will help dry out the cysts and also will give moisture so you don’t break out again by making your skin way too dry ❤

everydaybyjacqueline Thanks for being real and showing the unpolished version of yourself! Acne is not fun for any of us to deal with. I’ve suffered with it into adulthood and have given up all dairy foods to keep it in check. Hope that tip helps someone out there with the painful cystic kind.

carifaith1 @annavictoria you need to grab a piece of ice as soon as you feel one under the skin. They will decrease scarring, stop proliferation of bacteria, and take down inflammation. 10 min AM/PM... also I’m a benzoyl peroxide fan. Thanks for keeping it real!
