After my successful rehabilitation from Tommy-John surgery (UCL repair) during the 2006 season, I got selected to play winter ball in the off-season in Hawaii for the Waikiki Beach Boys! At that time I played for the Florida Marlins. The MLB and NPB brought together young prospects to play in this winter competition. It brings back amazing memories. My Japanese teammates at that time were playing for the Hanshin Tigers and Softbank Hawks.
The SoftBank Hawks is the team I sign with 10 years later and currently play for. Grateful to have had this experience and this amazing photo!
