Photo by David Chancellor @chancellordavid | A Samburu moran (warrior) takes blood from a goat, northern Kenya. Goats, as well as cattle, sheep, and camels, play a vital role in the Samburu way of life and culture. The Samburu are highly dependent on their livestock for survival. Their diet comprises mostly milk, and occasionally blood, from the cows that they are protecting from raids by opposing tribes. The blood is taken by slightly cutting the jugular, and draining the blood into a cup. The wound is then promptly sealed with hot ash. Meat is only served on special occasions, such as ceremonies. Their livelihood depends entirely on the health and safety of their livestock. When they do slaughter, blood and meat is shared among the warriors of different clans, strengthening bonds between warriors that can be called upon in times of drought and conflict with neighboring tribes. Unreal this comment from probably same kinda person-Who -whines about diversity and this right here is what true diversity is these people have been doing this for before who knows when n have respect for n honor what given to them - but if it's not vegan - or slapped with PC green light u don't s respect . If it does not fit in your box it's wrong - they worship these animals . Culture is beautiful n hell of a lot more powerful n meaningful then a person on a soapbox . Wait one day when we as a society have real problems ( like the depression or dust bowl or cataclysmic plague . I guarantee the rhetoric about all these assumptions u place on things like farming - culture- survival will be an awakening. How arrogant now people act like the last 20 years we are such full of hypocrisy.

This is a well written post about how the Samburu people live. It’s also very hard to see and read. I don’t understand why it would cause anyone to ridicule vegans or feminists however!

Thought it was the Masai that lived like this. Looks like a Masai warrior to me.

Isso não é cultura não isso é reptiliano ou melhor é atraso de evolução
