Ordered an Echo Dot on Prime Day July 15th for $22 when it said it was in stock, said it would arrive July 24th even though I’m a Prime Member and should have gotten it in 2 days but considering it was prime day I understood the reason for it to arrive later. Didn’t arrive July 24th got an email asking me to approve a delay, even though on the website it still said the item was in stock in the color I wanted. Then was sent and email and told by customer service that it should take 2 days to ship. Waited for 2 days and called customer service again and was told item wasn’t in stock and would just have to wait for an email saying item was in stock and would be shipped when it was. Turns out my order ends up being canceled without my knowledge as I was no longer able to find an Echo Dot under my orders. Pathetic company. I pay to be a Prime Member for a reason and this is unacceptable. I was finally after the 4th time calling customer service, since I was disconnected on the 3rd call and never received a call back, able to talk to a representative who in the end the best she could do apparently was get me a $25 credit which would still make my total amount higher than the total amount of the promotional offer on Prime Day that I ordered I get. I then was able to talk to a supervisor who got me a $40 credit to use to purchase a new Echo Dot, although a different color since I’m tired of waiting for the color I wanted. Still don’t understand how a Echo Dot of a certain color is completely out of stock in the whole country. You could have shipped it from another state instead of having to wait for the nearest location to me to have the damn item in stock! 🤬

Amazon made me so disappointed and cheated me! I cancel my prime today.
I was a prime user. I trusted Amazon and I paid for prime. I can say I spent thousands of money each year on Amazon and never consider cancel my prime before.
However, your assistant chested me! I bought a electric toothbrush on prime day. The delivery was delayed so Amazon sent me an email asking me if I still need this order 113-0810845-9800258 . (you can definitely see that email sent by Amazon and see my yes response) I responsed yes. But the delivery date was continually showing "pending". Then, I talked to my first assistant he told me Amazon has some technical issues(I am pretty sure that what he said, you can also check the conversation history. he said Amazon has "technical issues") and I need to cancel my order and reorder it. I asked him the price is different now (much higher) and will I get the same price on Prime day? I waited so many days for the delayed package because your technical issues. He transferred me to second assistant and this second one said (after a long discussion) I would get the prime day price after reordering it. so I reordered it and he told me after receiving the package Amazon will definitely return the gap (regular price - prime day price). Before the conversation end, He told me I don't need to worry about the gap. He made a "promise" to return the gap. so that why I reordered it.

It brings tears to my eyes to be doing this you know it’s like my entire world is crashing in front of me ... I am writing because I had a massive fire and I have nothing I live no where at this very moment bouncing around like a stray animal ... I am the only earning member of my family .. and unfortunately am not working a steady job at the moment not do I have clothes to wear to any job....and it’s hard to see my 4 year old sibling go for days without food is hurting my heart ....... If you can donate even 15 dollars to me I would be grateful or if you can send some clothes I am not setting any standards anything would be welcome even 10 cents .... Please consider me as Jamaica is such a hard place to live and make a life and now this set back is making me hate living even more but I won’t give up I have so much family members counting on my pleas I beg you help me

@dougiamas_james_ @frankidac amazon is very very dodgy. No longer the customer centric business they used to be.
All these eBay-like market sellers listing their stuff and refusing to aknowledge amazon policies. When you decide to raise the complain, they connect you to their India 🇮🇳 customer service. Which do absolutely NOTHING other than apologise. At the end you realise the money you need refunded is NOT worth the waste of time begging for the money back. After 4 times complaining and Amazon saying will make the seller refund me my money. They never did. I got tired and had to let it go.
From now on I will start supporting local businesses. With more transparent practices.

Amazon sent me a mattress when I ordered a bed frame - something I didn’t realize until I hauled the extremely heavy package up my multi floor walkup apartment. When calling customer service, they hardly apologized and refused to schedule a ups pickup because it wasn’t “cost effective” for them and told me to donate it - not only is this insanely wasteful and a bad business practice, but I know have to lug the heavy mattress all the way down the multiple flights of stairs again and schedule a pickup on my own. This is absolutely ridiculous as this is all for a product I never wanted or ordered.
