Photo by @MichaelGeorge // The Jacobite Steam train operates from May to September and takes passengers from Fort William to Mallaig in the Scottish Highlands. It is one of the few remaining steam trains in operation and follows one of the most beautiful train routes in the world. The train travels along the shores of Loch Eil, and eventually goes over the Glenfinnan viaduct (seen here), where passengers can see the Glenfinnan Monument and Loch Shiel. The train is often filled with two types of enthusiasts: Those who love trains, and those who love Harry Potter. Many of you will recognize this train as the iconic Hogwarts Express from the Harry Potter films. In the second movie, as Harry & Ron attempt to board the train via a flying car, the train is traveling over the viaduct seen here.
