@juleshough wow - I just watched your story!!! A huge congratulations to you and @brookslaich on summiting Kili! What an accomplishment ?????? My sister and now husband summited July 31, 2013. Watching your stories brought tears to my eyes. As an empath, I completely felt you and your experience. Especially since I walked the same path. Being in that environment, with the Africans and people from all over the world... walking for days and just watching that summit. Experiencing the awareness of your body and emotions during the journey. The connection you feel with yourself, spirit and all those on that journey with you. It’s an incredible experience. I’m so blessed for it. When I started climbing I was focused on summiting. And somewhere along the way, it wasn’t about the summit anymore. It really was just about the journey. What an interesting mirror for life. So many times I find myself looking to get to a certain point or place... but it’s everything in the in-between, all the little nows that matter and really make up the entire experience! Didn’t anticipate writing a book to ya’ll ? Congratulations again. Wishing you an uneventful journey home ❤️ Love and light to you and yours ??

Wow I'm crazy about joking. Mnts.. I'm. In. Southafrica... Doing a hike Tmro IN the suikesrbosrand.. 2200.m above sea-level... It's full of game... Like bontebok and wildebeest and zebra and eland the largest antelope in world.. I did this joke many years ago and we were so surprised with a stampede... I've hiked the Drakensberg 3200m and aim to do kili soon... ..btw safe haven movie was one of My favs❤️ from Italian stallion in Africa.. Ciao

What route are you doing? If your route does not take you through the crater, once you reach the summit, you should hike on over to the crater. It’s pretty spectacular! My husband and I hiked Kili two years ago, and it was amazing!!! I’ll never forget the experience, especially the kindness of the Chagga people! Cheers!

Climbed Kili my Jr Year in high school. It was the hardest thing I have ever done!! But when you get to the top...and watch the sunrise...it’s all worth it! Plus you’ll be a part of a very unique and small group of humans to do something so incredible. #onceinalifetime

I’m very interested in this. Did you go through a tour/guided company? How many days would you recommend? I’ve googled a bit, but rather have info straight from someone who was just there. And someone I admire. Thank you in advance.
