A lot of misinformation is floating around about FaceApp, a Russian app that went viral this week after people began using it to see what they’d look like old. ⠀

Let's set the record straight. 👴⠀

FaceApp told CNBC that it only uploads the photo selected for editing. It does not upload any other images in your library. It also said most images are deleted from its servers within 48 hours. ⠀

FaceApp also said that while the company’s R&D team is located in Russia, it doesn’t transfer user data to Russia.⠀
⠀
And now FaceApp actually warns you it’s uploading your picture for processing on its servers, so you can decide if you want to or not. ⠀

If you’re still concerned about privacy, our tech editor recommends only giving the app access to your camera, instead of your entire photo roll. When you’re done, you can delete the app which takes all permissions away. Read more at the link in bio.

???People always see problems where they are not supposed to be...i don't mind if my pictures are uploaded by faceapp and the fact that it's based in Russia is none of my problems as long as I gave it permission to access them.Till now humans don't know their real enemies and their real problems i don't mention that we also don't know what to do with our life journey...we are pathetic ?Holy Spirit Help Us

Never put your photo on your phone. If you put tape over both the regular camera lens and the selfie camera lens a nobody can hack your phone to take your photo. Plus, the tape protects the lenses. If you want to use a camera, just remove the tape and clean the lens. ?

Don't Facebook, IG, and Google have your personal data already? The only thing is, it is a fast rising Russian App which threatens American tech. Expect Trump to target it the same way he did to Huawei.
