What would YOU say, do, or advocate if you knew you could reach thousands of people around the world?
This platform can be a powerful tool for change, but only if we use it that way. I never thought I would be fortunate enough to be in a position like this, and I am genuinely curious—what you would share?

darkskyexplorer @dr.puya going back to your question. I’m equally curious. I think this image is a composite but may not be. the amount of noise in the background tells me it may not be a multi stacked image. I think there are two exposures. One for background one for foreground. Shot at 14-28mm range and maybe cropped. What’s interesting is that there should be a lot more light pollution from Las Vegas so the background may have been “lowered” into the foreground to reduce the effects. Because these constellations should apprear higher above the horizon unless he was shooting at a slight incline over the dune.. Hard to say for sure if that’s been done. You need a fast lens F2-2.8 and 10-20 seconds for the background at iso 1600-3200. Foreground you can go longer. I usually prefer just to take a single shot but you can get a lot more detail if you stack. Www.lonelyspeck.com has some cool tutorials to get you going.

But confronting my mother with my travel plans to see gorillas in africa she had a pretty good response: why can‘t people not just leave them be? Yes, exploring is awesome, but these animals did not ask to be around people all the time - we should more often just stay around the house, where we live and enjoy what we already have. Also the impact on wildlife and nature would be positive. Less is more. How many active conservationists do we need? Not THAT many. (Of course i enjoy your content though 😁)

kyle_winberg Specifically to those younger than me. Don’t Fall into the traditional trap. It’s ok to take a non traditional route. I feel like these days it’s easy for young people to think they have to go to a 4 year collage and go after that typical 9-5 job. It’s ok if you don’t fit that mold and want to experience the world! It happened to me and I just recently finally pulled out of it and am now pursuing a career and lifestyle I’ve dreamed of! Dream Create and Inspire!

danny.nguyens Would honestly travel and be an advocate for issues that need more attention. Be the voice for the voiceless like struggling children, working to make ends meet over in third world countries. Animals that are misunderstood and have their environment being destroyed by the selfish humans we are. Just shining a light on these things and doing it all through photography. As you know, a picture can invoke hundreds of thoughts and emotions. Hopefully, one day..

dr.puya I would share the coolest photos showcasing the wonder and beauty of our world, just as you’re doing! But please also share how you got this... is this a single exposure? Composite? What focal length? Tracker for Milky Way? I’m just a hobbyist, but love learning and trying new techniques. It’s really helpful when people also describe how they got/created their art. lessiaestil I would share what I love, same as you, and how important it is to follow your dreams and live the life and the values that you want, not those society has set for us. Moreover, considering we are always so fascinatied by amazing places like this one, I would encourage people to start a sustainability journey otherwise we will end up ruining the same locations we adore 👍😊
