It’s sooo well done that it appears to be a documentary at times. The trailers don’t do justice to it at all. And Nala, looks exactly like Dolano, but with Beverly’s eyes and hairy ears. I have refused for almost six years to name one of my kids after a character from The Lion King out of respect to the movie, but I might name one of my sons Mufasa as a tribute to the King. I didn’t cry like I said I would because I realized that after losing some of my Lion Kings and Lion Queens in real life nothing is the same in that department for me. But the movie is super sentimental and I dare say even better than the original one. I swear that sometimes one forgets that it’s a movie and not a documentary. I got a beautiful reminder today of how lucky I am to be able to take care of the kids. Not that I didn’t know or forgot, but to see them from an outside point of view helps one appreciate things more. During the red carpet, when they passed me the Simba toy from my last post, I was so out of context because I’m used to carrying the real ones, I honestly didn’t know what to do and I just started laughing and laughing (There’s a picture of that moment by the way).
