Entangled in his net, fish flopping about, it was surprising watching this man walk up from a polluted stream in Turtkul, Uzbekistan, without tripping. It seems he knew the landscape pretty well. This time spent with fishers along the Silk Road was from part VI of the @outofedenwalk through Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The landscape of Kazakhstan looks so harsh environment and really tough place too live. I sure there is areas that more wealthy people live, but do see a lot of photos of tough places folks seem to be just getting by. Must be so hard for some people. How do they treat you there are most friendly or do you get issues. I guess it’s how you also approach them too. Thanks Sam

@eivindsaiwalo stream doesn’t feed ocean in direct way. Uzbekistan doesn’t have access to seas nor its neighbouring countries. I guess stream ends up in some lake

A polluted stream, a poisoned ? human (?), a destructed environment... nobody can run away... a stream feeding an ocean, feeding... ??

@ferrum1996 There's the Aral sea but categorized as lake. Technically you're right, the fellow talks in general term.
