Been learning the lines of Vogue not only from studying Madonna vids when I was young, but at 11-13yrs my jazz teacher @worldofantaeuz had a technique that I feel influenced me doing vogue even more. When my mom allowed me to go out, I found the ballroom scene n I knew that my life would never be the same. That first night at the Club House really sparked something in me. Still in high school and so naive I swore every Trans was Cis. I also couldn’t understand what Slevin was saying on the mic...I mean who understands anything their first ball experience, I just knew after the connection I felt I knew I had to be the woman to take it to another level. This was while I was in HS before I was anyone in any scene. I would practice in the clubs where I met many pioneers and got snatched by Willi himself. It was a different time n there was so much inspiration at every direction and even more for the generation before . Inspiration is passed on...So whether you like me or not, I inspired, and I didn’t do it by stealing or stepping on anyone’s toes, I only shared my journey. Every choreographer or celebrity I’ve worked with I would always share where I learned things from and who inspired me. Never once did I use the scene to get myself ahead. Like Frank Gatson says “Share the light Sparkle brighter”! For the ones that live for me, I don’t do it for you but appreciate you so much, and trust when I say you are rare because many fake love me until it’s cool to hate Danielle. After reading a little of how many people in and out of ballroom hate me and wud love nothing more than for me to fall flat on my face, especially that the scene is so popular now. It’s hurtful, but then I take a second to realize that MY FEET ARE POINTED BITCH. I DONT GIVE A SICKLED BISCUIT WHO FUCKS WIT ME OR NAH. I know with all the loss I’ve dealt with lately it’s not good to focus on the hate but I can’t be oblivious to it. I know I can’t please everyone and I don’t plan to, I just want to focus more on the love I’m receiving instead.」7月10日 4時55分
