Don’t be confused by its simplicity. When done correctly tricep pushdowns are one of the best exercises for building your triceps. I have found cable push downs to be just as effective as dips, skull crushers, and kickbacks. But at the same time the triceps should be attacked at all angles and never rely on just one exercise or movement 💪🏼

I tried this variation with a rope and trust me it was a very different kind of pump and feeling. I felt my tricep activated in a very different way. Something I never experienced before. Angles are important. After 5 sets of these I wasn't able to do any conventional triceps exercise with the kind of weights I generally do. It was a shock to my muscles.

That’s awesome.Is there an advantage compared to standing push downs? Or, does it just change things up a bit? It does look to be easier for those of us with back problems.
