I was born and grew up in Corsica and sometimes I think this might be one of the best things about me 😋😋😋. There is no place in the world like it.

I am so honored to be seen as one of Corsica’s ambassadors because of my deep love for it, but also because I hope I can help support a respectful, thoughtful type of tourism as the attention to my little jewel of an island grows beyond what I have ever seen before.

I wrote a love letter to Corsica in this new, beautiful project called @maquismag that shows the Corsica I love, raw, wild, rich of so many contrasts - and profoundly elegant. To me, the most distinctive character of Corsica is the poetry it inspires... And I could go on about it for hours!

J'ai eu une grosse pensée pour toi la dernière fois que jy suis allée, javais emprunté le sentier du facteur pour aller jusqu'à Girolata (une merveille), et j'ai pensé à ton job d'été et les livraisons de croissants sur les bateaux 😁. Je profite de ce message pour te dire que je te lis depuis presque dix ans (je ne crois pas avoir commenter une seule fois) et pourtant tu es une magnifique source d'inspiration pour moi ❤, merci Garance pour tes mots, tes réflexions, tes illustrations, ta sensibilité, ta bienviellance, ton sens de l'humour, le partage de tes expériences qui me touchent et m'aident aussi à grandir de mon côté. Je trouve que tu es une personne magnifique (aussi bien a l'interieur qu'à l'exterieur). Bon je vais arrêter ce commentaire bien trop long qui pourrait s'intituler 'lettre d'amour à Garance' 😂. frankamaaria I find myself coping the love letter in my travel diary, even though I am in Costa Rica right now, a little far from France and I haven’t even been to Corsica, ever. Your words are just too beautiful not to dream about going there. It came to a funny time too, because I’m thinking about applying to a university in Germany that lets you spent one year of your studies in Aix-en-Provence, a city I always really loved to visit. So maybe I should take this as a sign haha, especially since studying in aix would mean being able to visits Corsica more easily ?

hennarau Corsica is the most beautiful place I've ever been. I love the feeling when you arrive on a boat and start to see the coast appearing in the horizon. It's so tidy compared to southern France, you can really see that Corsicans respect the land of their ancestors and hope they keep going the same way. As a tourist among others I cannot criticize but still would not like to see Corsica turned into mass tourism inferno like cinque terre...

prideauxdesign Wow. Corsica is one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. I have such fond memories of staying in a beach house with my aunt’s friend for several weeks when I was 17. What a dream to grow up there. I was born on Guam...we are both island babies.

fabiduister Because of you we went on a holiday to Corsica. I had sent you a picture but you don’t do DM and I understand. But we really liked it very much. We were there last year before the big bunch of toerists and that is the best time for us.

paulina.gold I am there right now... with a tear in my eye because we leave soon again... but we had a great time and i am in love with the incredible landscape, the nature and the smell. You got a paradise as place of birth! 💕
