PLEASE READ*** When we visited the Rwanda Genocide Memorial, we were all filled with so many emotions. Learning more about the Rwanda Genocide was absolutely heart breaking and terrifying, but their resolve and forgiveness, and the way they’ve turned their country around is truly remarkable and serves as an incredible example for all of us!
@jessgee and I were in tears conversing about how the separation and grouping that was created to define the Rwandans as different from each other, rather than as one, is all too familiar in our own country. Along with many countries around the world right now.
We have to start uniting rather than dividing 💔

Rwandans consciously chose and choose everyday that the only way to move forward and to heal is with love and forgiveness. - please learn about the genocide. For Rwandans to do this after the horrific instances that happened to them, is a testament of their most authentic yearning for peace -
They came back after only 20yrs stronger and safer than ever before. They teach Love & Peace in all the schools and you can feel it!!! The energy of the city is one of Gratitude and Hope!
What an awe-inspiring, heart opening experience.
I am forever changed,

djspectrom Problem between 1st world countries and 3rd world countries is having the mentality of being greedy , self entitlement, FO attitude. While 3rd world ppl work together, trying to find peace, trying to survive another day either food or from their government. We human beings are the worst of all living creatures on earth and we are destroying it.

5rosemom My DIL is Rwandese and our family’s deep ties to this place go back to 2010. Its the most gracious, beautiful, insanely challenging country ever. ???? Thank you for sharing your heart and helping with the awareness that we must always be intentional if we want to avoid another atrocity like April 1994.
