Mid-Autumn festival is still a couple of months away but that doesn't mean you can start perfecting your #mooncake 🥮baking skills. My son is born and is schooled in Hong Kong so the #MidAutumnfestival has become a special time for our family. One of my favourite parts of the Mid-Autumn Festival is the stunning lantons and enjoying the yummy #mooncakes with family and friends. The past few years I have always bough them from the #PeninsulaBoutique because they are my favourie. I was honoured to be invited with my son to take part in a moon cake making workshop that was Overseen by the acclaimed Chef Tang Chi Keung, The Peninsula’s Michelin-starred Chinese Culinary Advisor. This year’s mooncake collection included two of his new creations including, #chocolatemooncakes, #eggcustard, #walnut, #driedlongan and #PuErTea. The craze for mooncakes in Hong Kong is almost as serious as as a sample sale🛍. #ThePeninsula mooncakes have always been the most coveted mooncakes you can get your hands on and I can now say that I can make them at home with my son.
