I've had theeee absolute worst flying experience with American Airlines
this summer. I travelled from Texas to Atlanta with my then 3 month old baby in April. My sister, who also has an infant son told me beforehand that based on her experience with Delta Airlines, the perk of travelling with an infant is that you get to board first (that way, you're not rushing to get the baby out of the stroller and you're not hitting everybody you pass by in the aisle with the baby bag etc AND, the flight attendant helps you to place your carry-on in the over head bin). Imagine my disappointment upon finding out that no such perk exists with AA. Welp. I'm not some entitled millennial so I shrugged this off since they don't owe me this courtesy. Fast forward to June 22 - I had a flight from ATL to Miami at 7:20am. Got to the airport roughly 3 hours before the flight and spent over 2 of those hours waiting to get my bags checked. I was like 10th in line. Obviously, I missed my flight. So here I am, at the airport with my now 5 month old baby. I found out from the standoffish AA employee at the gate that my 2 suitcases were en route to Miami, as expected. I headed to the baggage dept to request that the bags be sent back to ATL ASAP. 2 days later (06/24) still no bags. So I called and was asked for a claim number. I wasn't given a claim number. The incompetent employee at the airport just asked that I describe the bags and she took the bag tag info. I assumed that would suffice. Forty minutes later, the rep on the phone gives me my claim number. I also asked if the $70 fee for checked baggage can be refunded (I am a struggling Nursing school student with a baby. Every penny counts.) I am told that the refund will be processed in 7 to 10 business days. 06/25 at approximately 11pm (after being told it would arrive by 4:15pm) one bag is delivered to me in ATL? I call yet again on 06/26. I'm told that my other bag is in Guadeloupe. I asked that the bag be kept in Guadeloupe (my final destination with AA before leaving for Dominica *not the republic*) since it would not get back to ATL before I left on 06/28 (the date I r/s my trip for). I'm assured that the bag will be kept in

Maybe you should stand up for your customers when you screw up! EVERYONE... DO NOT fly American Airlines! Maclean flew to Berlin as part of his dance program at New York University and American Airlines lost his luggage. They delivered it 3 days later to the wrong address and when they did finally deliver it to him on the 4th day, literally all of his belongings were soaking wet and moldy! He doesn’t even have underwear. We have been trying to get American Airlines to deal with this ever since but they have done nothing at all! When we called today to ask why his claim is not progressing we had the misfortune of speaking with Jamal from head office who is one of the rudest employees I have ever encountered. First of all, he insisted that American Airlines didn’t even fly to Berlin (seriously?😳) and when he finally figured out that they do in fact fly there on a regular basis, he told us that there are 6000 other people in front of us who have also had all of their belongs ruined in the last week and there was nothing at all he could do to help us. He told us that Maclean will just have to wait indefinitely to have his stuff replaced. I guess, what should we expect from an airline that recently dropped Abby Lee Miller out of her wheel chair and onto the floor and didn’t even do some much as ask if she was ok. The airport staff had to step to help. This all reflects on their company culture and upper management. If EVERYONE could PLEASE SHARE this and go to our TWITTER @frey8erin and @macleanfrey and RETWEET maybe it will catch the attention of someone who can get some help for Maclean as it seems that there is no other way. I have been stranded in New York since Saturday, June 29th.. My original flight, which was scheduled to leave 4:50 pm from LGA to RIC, where I was to catch a connection to DFW. After multiple delays, that flight was canceled. After being told by the gate supervisor (Eugene Alexander, Envoy) that my flight and necessary hotel stay (because there were no flights available that day) would be covered, I was told that was no longer the case due to weather. I went to the AA manager (Orlando) who told me that it was Envoy’s call because they weren’t associated with them. Orlando and the rest of the AA staff were woefully unhelpful. I received ZERO assistance in finding a hotel at a discounted rate for stranded passengers, which I was promised, and I was treated extremely rudely by the gate attendant and supervisor. I went to customer assistance, hoping to get my flight changed and booked so I could book my hotel accordingly. After booking the hotel, the lady at Customer Assistance closed down her computer abruptly while she was supposed to assisting me, saying it was her closing time. When I voiced my objection to her leaving a stranded customer without a flight she and her supervisor walked off, completely ignoring me as if I wasn’t even there. Fast forward to today, my 11am flight was canceled, I was only able to find a new flight to DFW tonight at 7:59 pm. That flight has since been delayed YET AGAIN to 9:30 pm, meaning I won’t arrive in DFW until after midnight, IF this flight doesn’t get canceled as well. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with AA’s lack of professionalism, courtesy, and apparent ineptitude. I am truly hoping that you can make this right. I have missed work, spent money that I didn’t have, and I have a family and children back home that are missing me and wondering what is going on. I will make sure to share my experience with as many of your customers as possible, so they can make an informed decision when selecting airlines. Make it right.

Flight AA1193 Philadelphia to Denver got cancelled tonight due to no pilots.
My daughter and husband are Stuck at the airport until tomorrow. My daughters softball team is attending a college showcase and she will not only Miss a full day but will also be stuck on a 6+ hour layover after I paid for a direct flight.
Shame to the airline for not putting them in a hotel when they live over one hour Away and are stuck at the airport with no car.
Extremely disappointed of the lack of information and respect for your customers.
Also waited on the phone for 30min for alternative flights and was told all flights in the east coast are booked.
Crazy that now I will pay for one night of a hotel room in Colorado and might lose my rental car.
Shame on the airline. Now I have another booked flight that I will try to cancel because you can’t be trusted.

You guys certainly don’t stand by us! I’ve been going back & forth to change my flight. No longer wanting to travel to the Dominican Republic and you all won’t allow me to change my flight, trying to charge me $600+ to change to a destination I can buy a round trip for half that amount. I’m really disappointed, I fly American several times every year. AMERICANS DONT WANT TO TRAVEL TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC RIGHT NOW. CHANGE THE FLIGHTS. @delta is allowing changes and working with their customers. Such a shame I’ve wasted so much money over the years with you guys and you won’t allow a one-time, simple courtesy

my dear AA ! I am so disappointment with you , that I don’t know how to start ... I trust you since the beginning of our relationship ; you offered me a Credit Card with the advance of obtain points for future flights , I trust you so deeply that I always book our flights with you ...... but today you shows that you don’t care about me ?; you obly cares about money and your own benefits ; you don’t think of me as a person , as a human with a lots of necessities ; today you lost my credibility for you !! I am so hurt that I am thinking on break my relation with you , so sad today with you ???
