Photo by Gabriele Galimberti and Paolo Woods @gabrielegalimbertiphoto and @paolowoods | Panama. An native Guna walks by a group of affluent Panamanians spending the weekend on the San Blas Islands. The archipelago of 365 islands is home to the Guna Indians, one of Panama’s indigenous groups. The Guna have lived on the islands since they were driven off of Panama during the Spanish invasion. They have their own language and social organization and, even if the islands have become a popular tourist destination, very rarely mix with other Panamanians. #panama #guna #sanblas

I think the Kuna also have territory on the mainland but moved offshore to protect themselves from mosquitos. Such a beautiful island chain.

The Creator has blessed the Guna as many of other First Nations People have been blessed to survive in the midst of all this nonsense-

I wouldn't mix with them either, they look like rejected Jersey Shore members.

I'd mention they are a matriarch society as well. Do a little research..
