In celebration of #PrideMonth, we’re exploring LGBTQ+ artists and themes currently on view at the Museum. This neon sculpture by #DeborahKass is a commentary on female artists’ efforts to succeed in a male-dominated art world. Kass, a self-identified lesbian artist, uses a quote from the artist Louise Bourgeois, who also supported LGBTQ activism and same sex marriage.
