ジャック・アントノフさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ジャック・アントノフInstagram)「meet me in asbury park next year…. you set out to do something and then no matter what you said you were going to do its the people who love it that actually make it what it is. years ago i said i want to have a festival in new jersey. i wanted to bring a festival to the place that always gets skipped over — always lives in the shadows. so we started shadow, a festival i wanted bleachers to kick off and then different artists would headline every year. year two the 1975 headlined - then year 3 bleachers again. then year 4 to close out the gone cycle was one of my favorite bleachers show of all time. i couldn’t let go and shadow was starting to morph into our yearly bleachers meet up instead of a proper festival. that’s what it turned into and i love that. so year 5- im in the studio making the third bleachers album right now. literally right now as i type this while listening to B3. its close but not ready. this brings us back to shadow. its grown into something that cant really be headlined by anyone else. its our meeting place. where we come to celebrate these songs in the place they are from. the idea of having a festival that someone else headlines is no longer interesting to me. first off because shadow is our thing and second because theres so many goddamn festivals these days who really needs another one. even in new jersey. but what i do believe in is our little convention —— it has to be a bleachers thing. but im not ready with the music. i could just say “this year is off be right back!”. but i hate that. that feels like what people say when something is dead and they don’t want to say it. like “lets take a break” ….. so, heres what ive come up with. a real announcement. a date / a plan and an onsale — shadow of the city - one year from today. ill be ready then to make this what we together have decided it is. by that time with a new bleachers album and tours etc this can be the homecoming its meant to be. plus i like the idea of something to look forward to this far ahead. so no bullshit. here it is. shadow of the city 2020. bleacher-con. my favorite night in asbury park. inches from the boardwalk. bleachers in their homeland. lets do this. meet i」6月28日 2時03分
