Get ready for One: Titus Kaphar and Rembrandt to Picasso: Five Centuries of European Works on Paper, both opening today. Presented in conjunction with one another, #BKMWorksonPaper presents more than 120 rarely or never-before-seen prints and drawings from our collection, while #OneTitusKaphar reimagines a seventeenth-century Dutch painting to question dominant historical narratives in Western art. Linking the two shows together, written commentary by Kaphar will accompany a select number of works on paper to shine a light on the Eurocentric bias of the art-historical canon. ⠀

These are painters that this West Indian boy sat in my grand dad's lap as he told me about them and showed me images of as a boy growing up.in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Now I work in a place that offers me thw ability to see these great masters works up close. You inspire me everyday.. Thank you BKM.
