3/3 • A cultural powerhouse, Villa Albani Torlonia was designed in the mid-eighteenth century to house the prestigious collection of antiquities of Cardinale Alessandro Albani.
The Leda sitting at the centre of the Gallery is a first-century Roman copy of an earlier Greek statue from the IV century B.C. attributed to Timotheos. Creative Director @alessandro_michele’s desire was in fact to magnify the importance of the value of the copy, at times more authentic and real than its original. Imagery captured inside the Leda Gallery of Villa Albani Torlonia by #YorgosLanthimos will appear in a special art book available from November 2019. #AlessandroMichele #GucciCruise20 @idea.ltd
