Our mission at Sweeten is to #renovatefearlessly, because with the right tools, team, and mindset, the process of remodeling can be a fun and unforgettable experience. Today, Erin from the @theheartandhaven is taking over our feed to share the story of renovating her Los Angeles home. "Hi, I am Erin from @theheartandhaven and about five years ago we bought a 1950s home in Los Angeles that hadn’t been updated since it was built. Covered from wall to wall (to ceiling!) in orange wood, we had a long way to go and no prior reno experience to guide the way. I was up for the challenge, but, because I am a mother to two young boys, we were already moved in, and had to live through all renovations AND did not have the budget to do everything at once, we renovated in pieces. I ended up hiring different contractors/tradesmen for each project throughout the years and as of today, the interior of our home is fully updated—even the not so glamorous things like electrical, plumbing and a new HVAC."
