Now on view at the @metbreuer, "Phenomenal Nature: Mrinalini Mukherjee" showcases 57 works by Mumbai-born artist Mrinalini Mukherjee, the first comprehensive display in the U.S. of her work. ⁣

A committed sculptor who worked intuitively (she never used sketches or preparatory drawings!), Mukherjee explored the divide between figuration and abstraction, inspired by nature as well as her enthusiasm for Indian historic sculpture, modern design, and local crafts and textile traditions.⁣⁣
