デレク・ブラスバーグさんのインスタグラム写真 - (デレク・ブラスバーグInstagram)「The first pic is my senior portrait, taken when I was an 18-year-old high school graduate in St. Louis, Missouri. I hope my wide-eyed innocence caught your attention because the second pic is the news our Missouri governor is pushing litigation that will close its only remaining Planned Parenthood, a last refuge for young girls facing hard decisions in my home state, this weekend. It's shocking and infuriating. To be clear, I'm not pro-abortion. (Who the fuck is "pro-abortion"?) However, in my life, I've had the divine pleasure of surrounding myself with enough smart, thoughtful, considerate women to know that when it comes to what they do with their body it should be entirely their choice. It's. Their. Choice. I've always been a proud Midwesterner and I truly believe what made me successful today was my wholesome, honorable upbringing. But this isn't the first time we landed on the wrong side of history: In 1820, the Missouri Compromise was a law that allowed Missouri to be admitted into the union as a slave state. This brings us to the third pic above: Tomorrow morning, nearly 200 years after the Missouri Compromise, St. Louisians are protesting the proposed legislation at a rally downtown. I'm hoping enough of my hometown heroes will be there to prevent my beloved homeland from ending up on the wrong side of history again.」5月30日 2時07分 - derekblasberg
