Last night, @gucci upgraded my tux game for the LACMA Art + Film benefit, which honored director David Fincher and artist activist Judy Baca. (I also had two fantasy prom night photo shoots with @emmachamberlain and @kimkardashian.) I was thrilled to see Fincher honored for my favorite work of his, the music video to George Michael’s “Freedom” in 1990. (Yea, he did that AND “Fight Club.” Talk about range!) And it was incredibly inspiring to see the vintage interviews of Baca in the 1970s when she was just starting her acclaimed LA murals, which recognize how underprivileged kids can be inspired and transformed by art practice.
