KNOWLEDGE ALERT - BUT NOT THE BORING KIND!I 👏
I have never really considered 𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 as an important part of my training in Iceland - it’s never that warm so I never thought my electrolyte levels would need much more than just a few liters of water (4) every day to stay balanced.
WOW, WAS I WRONG. WATER IS NOT ENOUGH!
I have had blood tests done regularly for the last two years and found markers for chronic dehydration - to the extent that it would negatively affect my performance. It's one thing to be on top of nutrition, but hydration is an entity of it's own! Now I know how to properly hydrate simply by adding a few tabs of Nuun Sport into my daily routine!
