What an honor it was for me to be one of @midland_shop #midlandgalsforchange this year. What I have learned in the past few years, is as difficult as it was at first to truly be vulnerable, the gifts it has given and doors it has opened has been immeasurable. It’s given me strength, courage , and community. The last one I think is key. Community. When we band together with our pure, honest , open, vulnerable selves, we can truly make change. I’ve seen that first hand with my friends, and their non profit, @thisisabouthumanity . It was founded by two moms, @zoe.winkler.reinis Wand @elsamariecollins , who saw the devastation with the border crisis, and did something about it. They are allowing women (and men) to join the fight in the simplest ways to make true change and truly impact the safety and survival of these families seeking a better life.
