Sento - Japanese public hot-water baths - have long been a community hub, but their numbers are declining. Fifty years ago, Japan had around 18,000, today there's less than 3,000. Typically, sento feature large interior nature-inspired murals. Mizuki Tanaka is one of the country's few remaining sento mural artists. She is working on an image of Mt. Fuji in a sento in Edogawa, a district in the old heart of Tokyo. Her goal is to update it without changing its essential spirit and create an image that helps people relax.
