Photo by @kiliiiyuyan | Floating on the Arctic Ocean, a towering piece of multiyear sea ice rests under the light of a full moon. Not long ago, the majority of sea ice looked like this-- meters thick and capable of supporting great weight. For the last several years since I’ve been following subsistence hunters across this landscape, the sea ice has gotten thinner and more dangerous. This year, arctic Alaska has broken innumerable records for the warmest March temperatures in history. Follow me, @kiliiiyuyan, for more from the Arctic and beyond. #climatechange #seaice #arctic
