The grounds of this Shinto shrine in Kyoto, Japan, are planted with over 400 cherry trees. It is an especially popular place to go in April for yozakura, or nighttime viewing of the blossoms. We have gone back to Japan many times in spring to photograph the flowering cherry trees. We love the passion that the Japanese have for reflecting on the ephemeral beauty of nature.
