Currently installed in the Resnick pavilion, Zhu Jinshi's "Wave of Materials" is comprised of eight thousand individual crumpled sheets. Xuan paper is the ground most commonly used for classical Chinese calligraphy and ink painting. Here, it's used as a sculptural material.
