Contained within its boundaries are some of the most stunning geological features to be found anywhere in the world. I had the pleasure of exploring this landscape on assignment for @natgeo magazine. In all my travels through varied landscapes, Vermillion Cliffs ranks at or near the top. The Wave is perhaps the most well-known geological feature in the monument, and access is strictly controlled to a few visitors a day. No less spectacular (and easier to access) are the Coyote Buttes and Paria Canyon, which run through the monument.
