Can you believe the eyes of the Gabon forest tree frog (Leptopelis aubryi)? It’s a member of the genus Leptopelis, sometimes called the “big-eyed frogs.” This little critter is about 1.7 inches (4.4 centimeters). It’s native to parts of Africa including Gabon, Nigeria, and Cameroon, where it lives among trees in a variety of forest habitats.
